The founding father of Modern China, Mao Zedong would transform his country from an impoverished, divided nation, into a world power. But this progress was brought about at a terrible cost. Mao would enforce his policies through fear, violence, and the destruction of individual thought, cementing the Chinese Communist Party or CCP as the sole rulers of some 500 million people. During the Cultural Revolution he would mobilise an entire generation of Chinese youth known as Red Guards to kill in his name, building a state where he was worshipped like a God. Purges were soon launched to eliminate undesirable elements of society, such as landlords and capitalists, with millions being executed, driven to suicide, or sent to work camps known as laogai, where they would be re-educated through labour and subject to thought reform, psychological techniques designed to destroy their previous identity. The Red Guards were also instructed to purge the last elements of traditional Chinese society, particularly old ideas, customs, habits and culture, known as the Four Olds, with China’s historical sites becoming targets, with temples, artwork, graves, books and statues being destroyed and lost forever. All that would be lost would be replaced by The Little Red Book, a collection of Mao's quotes and speeches, which was held as the highest source of knowledge. His policies would lead to the worst famine in recorded history, with it being estimated that he was responsible for the deaths of between 40 and 80 million people. A hero to some and a tyrant to many, Chairman Mao has one of the defining stories of the 20th century. Inside Mao's China | History Documentary Watch 'How Britain Started the Arab-Israeli Conflict' here: 🤍 At the height of Maoism, China was as closed off as present-day North Korea. But even at that time, some Western foreigners lived in the country and in the summer of 1966, they witnessed first-hand the upheaval of the Cultural Revolution. In this time young leftist activists In Western Europe idolized Mao as a harbinger of a utopian society. As China eased out of its age of isolation in the early 1970's, many Westerners outside of China had to face a harsh reality. When the Westerners were finally granted permission to leave, they were shocked to find their peers in Europe cheering for the very dictator they had just fled. Conversely, Western Maoists journeyed to China to enjoy revolutionary tours, often returning disillusioned or confused. Inside Mao’s China tells for the first time about this period of recent Chinese history from the perspective of the small number of Western eyewitnesses, who were there at the time. These ventures between cultures and political systems are among the few who have experienced the Cultural Revolution from the inside and are able to share their experiences without fear. Nevertheless, until now they had preferred to remain silent. The unique personal stories of our protagonists combined with rare historical footage will give a new perspective on one of the 20th century's most controversial utopia. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary - History Channel for free: 🤍 Join the club and become a Free Documentary Patron: 🤍 Facebook: 🤍 Twitter: 🤍 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #MaoZedong ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary - History is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free. On October 1, 1949 Mao Zedong held a victory celebration parade in Tian'amen Square and announced to the world the creation of a People's Republic of China. China had awakened, and the decades since have given truth to Napoleon's prophetic words. Interestingly, very few people actually understood Mao's speech, and only one sentence has ever been translated and synched to audio - until now. October 1949 is a definitive account of how Mao orchestrated and carried out this spectacular parade, all the while facing threats of an on-going civil war. Go behind the scenes of this parade with filmmaker Peter Du Cane as he unearths rare archive footage and pieces together the remainder of this historic speech and makes it whole for the first time ever. In this video I summarize the life of Mao Zedong, also known as Chairman Mao, the communist dictator of China. Key events such as the Communist Revolution in China, the Great Leap Forward, and the Cultural Revolution are touched on. Music: Kevin Macleod

In this episode all eyes are on these two men: Kim Jong-il and Mao Zedong He's a man born into power. He tortures and executes hundreds of thousands of his own people with his finger held closely to the button. It's North Korea's Kim Jong-Il. A man with insatiable desire for power and fame. A man raised to be a dictator. A man who let his people suffer while he lives the high life with imported women, booze and the worlds finest foods. On the other side: Supreme Leader of China for almost 3 decades, his merciless policies made him one of the most ruthless tyrants of the 20th Century. A communist leader obsessed by power and violence, a sadist intoxicated by others' pain; and a dictator convinced that politics had to be violent. He presided over the deaths of more people than Hitler and Stalin combined.

The wind chimes ring and it’s a day when the clouds are very light. The clothes are very comfortable. Everything is soft and quiet Every intersection flower is in the sun There is a good love song in front of the store. It doesn't take long to get to the destination People come in and are full of goodwill This is the most ordinary day. Do you miss it too? Don’t chase after you go home slowly Just like this, I’m not worried about it. Only the evening breeze licks the cheek The sun is melting in the creek before sunset I was very satisfied with the harvest at the dusk market. The friend called and said that he was waiting for you. Meet up and talk about topics The dining table is placed in the yard full of flowers Slightly sizzling Never consider where you should go tomorrow Because the wind tonight is too harmonious This is the most ordinary day. Do you miss it too? Don’t chase after you go home slowly Just like this, I’m not worried about it. Only the evening breeze licks the cheek This is the perfect day. Do you want it too? Life can be less complicated Just like this, I’m not worried about it. Only the evening breeze licks the cheek ✨[PinYin Lyric] Song: Perfect day Singer: Mao Bu-Yi měi gè zǎo chén qī diǎn bàn jiù zì rán xǐng fēng líng xiǎng qǐ yòu shì yī tiān yún hěn qīng shài hǎo de yī fú wèi dào hěn ān xīn yī qiē dōu shì róu ruǎn yòu níng jìng měi gè lù kǒu huā dōu kāi zài yáng guāng lǐ xiǎo diàn mén qián chuán lái hǎo tīng de liàn qǔ bù yòng tài jiǔ jiù néng zǒu dào mù de dì rén lái rén wǎng lǐ mǎn shì shàn yì zhè shì zuì píng fán yī tiān ā nǐ yě xiǎng niàn ma bù zhuī bù gǎn màn màn zǒu huí jiā jiù zhè yàng xū dù zhe nián huá méi qiān guà zhī yǒu wǎn fēng qīng fú zhe liǎn jiá rì luò zhī qián xié yáng róng zài xiǎo hé lǐ guàng le huáng hūn shì chǎng shōu hù hěn mǎn yì péng yǒu dǎ lái diàn huà shuō tā zài děng nǐ jiàn miàn yǒu liáo bù wán de huà tí cān zhuō bǎi zài kāi mǎn huā de yuàn zǐ lǐ wēi wēi jiǔ yì zhèn zhèn huān gē xiào yǔ cóng bù kǎo lǜ míng tiān yīng gāi qù nǎ lǐ yīn wéi jīn yè de fēng tài hé xù zhè shì zuì píng fán yī tiān ā nǐ yě xiǎng niàn ma bù zhuī bù gǎn màn màn zǒu huí jiā jiù zhè yàng xū dù zhe nián huá méi qiān guà zhī yǒu wǎn fēng qīng fú zhe liǎn jiá zhè shì zuì wán měi de yī tiān ā nǐ yě xiǎng yào ma shēng huó kě yǐ bù nà me fú zá jiù zhè yàng xū dù zhe nián huá méi qiān guà zhī yǒu wǎn fēng qīng fú zhe liǎn jiá zǒng yǒu yī tiān wǒ men huì zhǎo dào tā - YOYOROCK滾石移動官方臉書 🤍 YOYOROCK滾石移動官網(數位音樂發行) 🤍
